Scheduling the Next Council Meetings: Jan - April 2023
Dear friends, For those new to the TEI Technical Council, we maintain a tradition of meeting for *90 minutes in the second week of each month*. It’s now time to set a regular meeting time in our calendar that works for all of us in the multiple timezones represented by our 2023 Council. Based on input from most of you, I’m using When2Meet to help set our new schedule. This When2Meet poll is based on the week of January 8 - 14, the second week of January. Before we begin, I ask that you: - Please answer the poll to *represent your general availability over the next few months, through the end of April*. - Please be sure to *select your timezone* in the dropdown menu on the poll. *Here is the poll: *https://www.when2meet.com/?18064520-EtdUD We do need everyone to respond fairly quickly so we can schedule the January meeting! Can you all please respond to the When2Meet in the next 5 days, *by December 27*? (We may figure out the meeting dates well before then if everyone responds quickly.) Thanks, Council! If you have trouble with the poll, please reply to this message on the Council mailing list or send me an e-mail at eeb4@psu.edu and let me know what’s up! We’ll sort it out. Thanks, everyone, and happy holidays! See you next year! Dear Council: Just bumping this as a reminder! Would you all please respond
to (or revisit) the When2Meet poll by tomorrow to help us determine the
dates and times of our January to April Council meetings? We need each
active Council member to respond (and revisit your selections) *by
tomorrow, December 27 by the end of the day*. I'd like to set and announce
our meeting schedule by December 28.
- *Here is the poll: *https://www.when2meet.com/?18064520-EtdUD
- It's set for the second week in January (which would be the week of
our first January meeting). But please answer the poll to *represent your
general availability over the next few months, through the end of April*.
- Please be sure to *select your timezone* in the dropdown menu on the
poll.
Here's where we are as of December 26:
- At this point, two Council members haven't yet responded, and I want
to make sure we hear from everyone before we set the schedule.
- A consensus seems to be forming on Thursdays starting at 1:30pm ET |
10:30am PT | 7:30pm CT, but I want to make sure it works for a 90-minute
window for our usual once-per-month meeting. I am concerned it is late for
our European members so I hope maybe we can establish an alternate
window--there may be one on Friday, but it's problematic for one of our
West Coast members. In each case where most of you line up, one of you
seems only available for 30 minutes. Can we negotiate?
Thanks everyone!
