Hi TEI Council, As some of you know there is a memorial event for Sebastian taking place at Wolfson College on Tuesday 27 September 2016. The insightful of you will remember that we will be in the midst of a TEI Council Meeting (though I note that Magdalena, Martina, and Peter seem to be busy with workshops that day). (What is the schedule for the Council meeting again, on which days? I've lost track.) The proposal with regard to Sebastian's Memorial Event is that some of us might skype in to give a brief (10 min max) reflection on his work with the TEI and what his loss means to us. I'd suggest that Lou and/or Hugh might be suitable representatives to deliver this. We could propose something else back to the group organising this if Council wished. Suggestions/thoughts? -James -- Dr James Cummings, James.Cummings@it.ox.ac.uk Academic IT Services, University of Oxford
Suggest council skyping in, and someone speaking on behalf. Could be Lou,
Hugh or James who was formerly chair.

Hiya, As the programme for Sebastian's Memorial Event (Tuesday 27 September) firms up they've asked if we (TEI) would do 15-20 minutes on the TEI. This will have come at 10:50 (UK time) after a Welcome to the College (Donna Kurtz) and a Welcome and Outline of the day (Anne Trefethen), and then an Introduction and History by Leonor. So we are the first of the thematic speeches (others being Southampton, Archaelogy, Rome, TeX, LGN, OSSWatch, OpenData, Claros, India, and Digital Humanties). That will be 11.50 Vienna time, though presumably we'll want to test connection earlier than that as well. I'll assume that we're still willing to participate and that Lou, Hugh and I will cook something up to say, but others welcome of course. -James On 27/07/16 13:43, James Cummings wrote:
