We agreed to move the Thu 28 Oct Stylesheets meeting to Thu 04 Nov. Problem is, we did not agree on a time, and unlike 28 Oct, where the “usual time” works (as [1]), by Thu 04 Nov Europe has fallen back to standard time, but US & Canada have not, meaning our currently scheduled times are [2]. At least Elisa would miss most of it if we leave it at [2]; and although I would not miss it, for me earlier is probably better because I will be waking up at 03:00 localtime to attend Declarative Amsterdam. Would folks be willing to change it to the “usual time” for the North Americans, i.e. [3]? (We can’t really push it out another week, as we have a regular meeting on Thu 11 Nov, by which time North America has fallen back to match Europe.) Hi all, I have a meeting from 11.30 my time (PDT) on Nov 4, so I won't be able to make it if we go to [2]. I had forgotten all about the time change. Obviously [1] and [3] are OK (although I can only manage an hour). Cheers, Martin On 2021-10-31 10:20 a.m., Bauman, Syd wrote:

Hi all,
Well, besides the class beginning 30 minutes into [2], something serious
just came up during [3] (which is, one of my best students needing to make
an Urgent decision before the late-drop deadline, and she's pretty stressed
about it, also not easy to coordinate our schedules). So...how about I just
pull out of this Stylesheets meeting as just the wrong day for me with the
time zones out of joint anyway. I'll see you at the Council session.
"The time is out of joint. O cursed spite, That ever I was born to set it
right!" (or really, not set it right at all, but get tugged back into my
office),
Cheers,
Elisa

Tally so far SB: mild preference for [3] HBS: preference for [2] EBB: neither MB: either HC: NC: MH: [3] for 1 hour JJ: either JL: MS: either PS: [2] MT: RV: Which means we are essentially split down the middle, with [2] winning by a hair. Hi all,
I'm sorry that I have to miss this meeting after all. I'm giving a paper tomorrow at a local conference and it still needs a lot of work.

We are planning to meet in ~1 hour; see the GoogleDochttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1tXl83drQi5vIYqdmY7O0ORXxSEEtf9NpYykg8FSS... for details. There is a reasonable chance I will have to up and leave, so I would prefer that someone else “drives” whatever demos and coding we do.
