Dear Council, We are in the middle of the “refridge phase” which means that we are getting really busy 😊 Please don’t commit major changes to the schema (except if they have been tested in a branch like standoff and unihan); minor changes (wording, typos, examples) are fine. Freeze is on Monday, which means no more changes can be done in the dev branch after that. There are 35 open issues labeled with “milestone 3.7.0” https://github.com/TEIC/TEI/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+milestone%3A%22Gui... Please remove the milestone from those issues, that won’t go into the upcoming release. Best, Martina
I'm trying to complete long over due ticket https://github.com/TEIC/TEI/issues/1588 and have added a couple of comments on the ticket about issues I feel might still be controversial (hopefully not). One in particular though: we don't actually support renaming of element GIs any longer do we? I noticed that new Roma and old Roma both have an option in the interface to do it, but since neither current TEI elementSpecs nor current Exemplars contain any <altIdent>s, they are hard to test. In days of yore the renaming was done by loading a different file of parameter entities for each language, but those have long since disappeared methinks. So for the moment I am proposing just to comment out anything about element renaming. Wodjasay?
Is the following still true? <div type="div4" xml:id="CFAMmc"> <head>Mandatory Components of a TEI Document</head> <p>It is a long-standing requirement for any <term>TEI-conformant</term> document that it should contain a <gi>teiHeader</gi> element. To be more specific a <term>TEI-conformant</term> document must contain <list> <item> a single <gi>teiHeader</gi> element followed by one or more elements from the <ident type="class">model.resource</ident> class; or</item> <item> in the case of a corpus or collection, a single overall <gi>teiHeader</gi> element followed by a series of <gi>TEI</gi> elements each with its own <gi>teiHeader</gi></item> </list> It's unchanged in Syd's branch, so I am assuming it is.
