Hi Council, (Martin Holmes CC'd) I've made proposal on https://github.com/TEIC/TEI/issues/1756 and wonder if council members have a moment whether they could give it a read, comment there, vote on which you prefer, etc. It is a fairly small change (adding idno to the content model of event, and ptr to event/person/place/org) that would have numerous benefits for many projects dealing with named entities (of which I consider event something that is much of a named entity as person/place/org). Since 2012 council has agreed a desire to rationalise the content models of person/place/org (and I would add 'event' to that list of entities): c.f. https://github.com/TEIC/TEI/issues/367 my suggestions on this ticket work under the principle that any proposed smaller changes that bring the content models of named entities into greater cohesion of content models and doesn't preclude later rationalisation are probably a good ideas. We shouldn't need to wait for the perfect solution to implement smaller ones.
