We are planning to meet in 10 days, on Tue 05 Jun at 13:00Z.[1] Last time we agreed to work on our current tickets in our current medium-sized teams to report back to the group. Tickets and teams are unchanged from last month.[2] Communication, however, may have to change. We have been using Google Hangouts, but as far as I know (which is not far at all), Google Hangouts no longer supports screen sharing. Any thoughts on what we should do? (Does Brown's paid Google Hangouts support screen sharing? Does Skype allow conference calls of nearly a dozen people? Should we ask TEI-C to just buy a conferencing system? Are there any open source alternatives, whether free or costly?) Notes ----- [1] I believe that would be 06:00 PST (Martin) 09:00 EST (Syd, Hugh, Raff, Elisa, Elli, Sarah) 10:00 ART (Alejandro?) 14:00 BST (James, Magdelena?) 15:00 CET (Alejandro?, Lou, Martina, Peter, Magdelena?) [2] 1. Ticket 125 (https://github.com/TEIC/Stylesheets/issues/125): * Elisa Beshero-Bondar * Alejandro Bia * Hugh Cayless * James Cummings 2. Ticket 138 (https://github.com/TEIC/Stylesheets/issues/138): * Lou Burnard * Martin Holmes * Martina Scholger * Magdalena Turska 3. Ticket 136 (https://github.com/TEIC/Stylesheets/issues/136): * Syd Bauman * Peter Stadler * Sarah Stanley * Raffaele Viglianti
Hi Syd, Did something change in Hangouts in the last month? Because I am about to host a Hangout this morning with my project team and we need to screen share—I haven’t seen any problems with this as of maybe a week ago? As for next Tuesday, I and perhaps others here will be at the DHSI in Victoria. I guess we’ll be on Martin’s time then, so the meeting is probably still feasible for us, but I might really want some sleep so I may miss this next one. I think it might be only on Linux that screensharing doesn't work. Cheers, Martin On 2018-05-26 05:41 AM, Elisa wrote:

Hello, I can screenshare with Hangouts on Linux from Chrome. Firefox is
more hit and miss, but has been working lately on Ubuntu 18.04, Firefox
60.0.1

Reminder, that we are planning on meeting on Tue 05 Jun at 13:00Z.[1] It seems like other folks are not having trouble with screen sharing in Google Hangouts, so I guess we should just use that again. HOWEVER, I have foolishly double-booked myself, and am scheduled to be on duty Tue day. Thus there is a good chance (perhaps 33%) that I myself will miss some or all of this meeting. Sigh. But that shouldn't slow y'all down. With three mildly complex tickets, which, of course, everyone will have made at least some progress on, there is plenty to talk about. List of timezones and tickets are in the quoted mail, below.
