
Dearie me, and there we were abandoning sourceforge because it kept crashing, and now github has gone down the plughole too. Scarey. Apparently, according to French tv news, this is part of a mammoth DOS attack on lots of high profile US based sites.

It was down for a few hours today, together with many other sites including Twitter, Reddit, Spotify, Amazon... etc. This does not compare with the systemic downfall of Sourceforge, which was perpetrated from the inside.
