And I need to attend that panel! I’m studying anything I can find on TEI and LOD… Elisa -- Elisa Beshero-Bondar, PhD Director, Center for the Digital Text | Associate Professor of English University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg | Humanities Division 150 Finoli Drive Greensburg, PA 15601 USA E-mail: ebb8@pitt.edu mailto:ebb8@pitt.edu Development site: http://newtfire.org http://newtfire.org/

I agree that this is too broad. Apparently, I'm conflicted by my own personal interests: dealing with images/graphics on one hand and LOD on the other, so I tried to fit it all in...
Let us assume that we want to focus on images/graphics: what are our topics? IIIF, SVG and? Perhaps dealing with ‘graphical content’ in general, not necessarily a standardized vocabulary? Or do we just focus on IIIF and do a whole panel on that?
Regarding the format, I initially thought of a 3 paper panel. What do you think?

Hi Martina,
Thanks for working on this! I wonder if as it is presented now the panel is too broad. I would probably consider sticking to TEI - Image integration (I see that Elisa made this point on a GDoc comment as well).
Another question: are we thinking a roundtable style panel (i.e. 4-6 speakers each giving a quick summary followed by discussion) or a 3-paper panel? I'm asking because in the former case I would still submit an independent paper on TEI-IIIF.

to keep the discussion going, I started with some ideas how the proposal for the panel "interconnecting TEI and other standards" (working title) could look like. I would love to attend IIIF workshop, for sure!
