The TEI Simple build seems to be broken, because it involves validating something called xsimple.odd against the teisimple.rng schema (if I understand correctly). The xsimple.odd file is an ODD, not a Simple document, so I don't know why it's being validated in this way. xsimple.odd is an untracked file which is generated during the build itself, so I think this must just be a screw-up in the order of targets in the default make process.
