It turns out our rnv package, which is v 1.7.8, is now behind the Debian package, which is at 1.7.10: https://packages.debian.org/sid/text/rnv It looks like Ubuntu was tracking that up to Lucid (10.04): http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/lucid/man1/rnv.1.html but then it disappeared before 14.04. But it occurred to me to find out what else can be used to validate RNG compact syntax, and Jing can do it. So I'm wondering why we're using rnv. I assume the reason is sheer speed; rnv is written in C so it's lightning fast. I'll email Sebastian and ask him if there's any other reason. Cheers, Martin On 15-08-08 01:46 PM, Lou Burnard wrote:

In the TEI SF repo there is a folder called Documents (same level as P5) which contains inter alia a document called howtomakep5.xml that does more or less this. I started working on some time ago... some way to go still (in particular it needs a mac person to fill in the appropriate section, syd) but it's a start
