
I know that Microsoft of yore was bad, but I'm frankly not too worried now given their more positive attitudes towards open source and unix systems overall. Maybe. I’d advise a wait-and-see approach for now. GitLab isn’t bad, but they have the same structural problems as a company that GitHub has (arguably worse). They’ll probably end up getting acquired too when the VC money runs out.
