Am I correct that TEI-C will be reimbursing us for * travel to & from Lyon * meals from Sat 10-24 to lunch on Wed 10-28 (which we got from the conference folks, anyway) * hotel for Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue nights but not the rest of our expenses?
That's my understanding. Lunches were covered, and you (Syd) picked up the dinner on two nights for me, so mostly it'll just be breakfast. What are the per-diem rates for France?
You may need to claim meals beginning before Saturday, Oct. 24, depending on when you needed to leave home to reach the Council meeting. Following http://www.tei-c.org/Board/procedures.xml#body.1_div.8 , we first find the US Department of State M&IE rate for Lyon, which is $120. According to https://aoprals.state.gov/content.asp?content_id=114&menu_id=81 , the breakdown per meal is: breakfast: $18 lunch: $30 dinner: $48 However, the TEI only reimburses 70% of these figures, so you can claim this much per meal: breakfast: $12.60 lunch: $21 dinner: $33.60 As Martin hints, you shouldn't claim any meals that were provided with your hotel, by the Council meeting (such as your lunches), or by someone else on Council. But if you were the someone else who paid, then you submit the receipt for that meal, as explained on the reimbursement form. Kevin
