Dear all, thanks Raff for adding more explanations on the release. I really think that this will be sufficient and good for a release message. I think it is important to let people know that the Stylesheets have changed and not to delay the release information any longer. So, I suggest that I'll send it tomorrow. For future Stylesheets releases we could consider more extensive documentation - like we usually do when we do a Guidelines release (for which we have been receiving very positive feedback from the community). BTW, I added the sourceforge link. Best wishes, Martina -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Tei-council <tei-council-bounces@lists.tei-c.org> Im Auftrag von Syd Bauman Gesendet: Mittwoch, 3. The announcement of a release is not a pedagogical document. It is just the announcement of a release. We should actually put effort into *not* going down a rabbit hole of explaining things here. The main reason I'm in favor is that those few who actually update via debian packages or download from Sourceforge will be using a different version, and should know that in case something breaks. Also to remind folks that we actually do stuff. With that in mind, I think the post is lovely as it now stands. I do wonder if we should mention https://sourceforge.net/projects/tei/ as another place you can get the new stylesheets, though.
Council responsibility for stylesheets is for those that we use to generate the website and those that we use to process ODDs. Everything else is optional but nice for the community (IMHO)
