and that the Federal per-diem meals-and-incidental-expenses (MIE) amount for Ann Arbor is $56, which means that individual meals (as opposed to 'group meals'), if not reimbursed by other means, may be reimbursed, if I understand this correctly, at a rate of $15.68 (28% of $56) for lunch and $17.92 (30% of $56) for dinner, without receipts required.
The distinction between 'group' meals (to be charged at cost) and 'individual' meals (to be charged as per-diem expenses), remains a little doubtful to me, especially with regard to the lunches which were variously paid.
