I think the poll indicates, fwiw, two possible dates for Ann Arbor, both of which might be described as "end of May", i.e. 27-29 May, and 28-30 May. Could we perhaps make a decision now? I have a preference for 28-30 may, fwiw, but can live with either. I can even live with the rival suggestion of Durham for 30-may2 if need be. The thing I cannot endure much longer is this protracted uncertainty .... On 16/02/15 13:09, Paul Schaffner wrote:
As I suggested in a previous message, perhaps obscurely, I think that a date at the end of April or beginning of May would be next to impossible because it would coincide with the University graduation week/end, making it verra difficult to find a hotel room, much less ten or so. So if held here, it would have to be the later date (end of May, that is), simply as a logistical question.

I think we have a winner then. We have more votes for Ann Arbour, but we're evenly split as to date—5 for end of April, 5 for end of May. Paul hasn't voted yet, and as local organizer, I think it's appropriate that he have the deciding vote as to date. Paul, what works best for you?

: exactly. a vote for anything other than the two majority parties is a vote wasted.

In any case, if it's a method to agree on something rather soon it will be okay.

: I hope since we have to pick just one there will either be a clear winner or we'll at least be able to triangulate on a choice.
