apologies for not voting - I'm in favor of either print or bookish
print is a bit more proper if slightly misleading at first glance
bookish more accurate, but whimsical which isn't always a good idea
so probably print from me, final word.

Then I would have voted for TEI Simple. I'm definitely against Bookish.
Sorry I didn't vote before and can't make the meeting.
Since this is somewhat a marketing decision, why not involve the board as well? Rerun the poll using the board-council list? We will be stuck with the decision for a very long time.

I'm afraid I'm not much of a rule-follower. :-) I voted (a tad reluctantly) for TEI Print. If TEI Bookish is the consensus, I would happily change my vote.

I will let Hugh decide whether or not to count your vote. (I got into terrible trouble last time I tried to make the TEI follow an agreed electoral protocol)
And in answer to Hugh's query: the votes cast so far (not including yours) were 3 for Bookish; and one each for Go, Print, and Simple.

WE NEED A DECISION. CHANGING THE NAME IS GOING TO INVOLVE A LOT OF CHANGES IN LOTS OF PLACES.

Let's talk about it on Thursday, when we'll have more than 5 people in

When polling closed 15 minutes ago, 5 votes had been cast. This is only
half the current membership of Council. I conclude that there is no strong desire amongst council members to express an opinion on the matter, which I persist in thinking suggests we would be ill-advised to change the status quo. Would it be a good idea to go with the majority figure (3 votes) when that represents the view of less than a third of the electorate? I think not. I am therefore going to assume this baby is still called TEI Simple, and intend to devote the little time left before it is integrated it into the next release to improving the examples, and checking that it works properly, rather than the (fairly daunting) task of changing its name everywhere. We also, may I remind you, need to make it more visible on the website, and integrate it into the oXygen framework.
