Dear Lou, My students have used it in their TEI customizations. It is indeed a lovely tag and very useful if one is remediating encoded files that already have metadata (e.g., EEBO-TCP files). I keep thinking we should use it in Linked Early Modern Drama Online to capture the original Internet Shakespeare Editions metadata in the files we are remediating … but we haven’t done so yet.
