Subject: Re: [Tei-council] The Never-ending 4.2 release!I logged in (as the TEI user) and added the symlink a few minutes ago, so that should be working ok now (I've checked some of the links Helena posted and they function). I'm at a loss as to why the install script doesn't take care of this if it's a requirement though. We never used to have to do it. I wonder whether there was a web server redirect set up for it on the old server, and we failed to re-implement that on the new one...

If I remember correctly, Peter and/or Hugh have created new symlinks on
the server at release time a few times recently; it seems that either
something changed when the server migration to HumaNum was done, or
there has always been a requirement to create a number of symlinks, and
this never made it into TCW22 or the release scripts for some reason.
I think the most important thing is first to list the full set of
missing items or links; then for someone to quick-fix those for 4.2.2
(without doing a new release, assuming the stuff is actually there and
just in the wrong place); and finally for the release scripts on tei-c
to be updated so that they're created at release time.
Unless I'm missing something, I don't believe we need another release;
and even if we did, we'd have to fix the problems in 4.2.2 anyway, since
it's out there.
Cheers,
Martin
