Dear TEI Council,
It's about to be December! Our last meeting for 2024 is coming soon, and we'll be saying farewell to Magdalena and Gus. We will definitely miss you in Council but we know we'll see you again next year in working on TEI Lite2!   We also look forward to welcoming Ulrike and Martin, who officially begin with the Council in January! Ulrike and Martin, you should now be added to this Council e-mail listserv, and this is one place where we'll make formal announcements. You are both most welcome to join us at the December meeting, though this is optional and we'll understand if you can't make it until the start of your terms in January!

As for meetings from January 2025 onward, we need to schedule them! Council has been meeting in the second full week of every month for 90-minute sessions, and I am hoping to set a regular date and time that might hold through April or May this spring. With this regular monthly meeting plan in mind, would each of you who are members of Council from January 2025 onward take a moment to review your schedules and mark your availability on this When2Meet poll?  (Several of you have already begun filling this out earlier this week in response to my Slack message in the #council channel, but I ask that we each revisit this and adjust availability as needed.) Could we each respond to this by the end of next week--by Friday December 6?

(Again, the poll is set for the 2nd full week in January but we'll plan to apply it to the next few months. It should be set to adjust to your time zone! Please feel free to reply to this message or write to me individually if you have schedule issues or questions.) I'll review your responses next week in hopes of announcing our January - April Council meeting dates / times at the December meeting and here on this list.

We'll also need to start thinking about our next multi-day face-to-face (or virtual) meetings, but we'll revisit this in the new year!

The December meeting is scheduled (as posted on our Google Calendar) on Tuesday December 10 at 10:00–11:30 PDT | 13:00–14:30 EDT | 17:00–18:30 UTC | 19:00–20:30 CEST over Zoom at the usual location:

Thanks, everyone! See you soon!
