While I believe you, I don’t actually know how to do that. (I would guess set the factory/@name to either "org.apache.xalan.processor.TransformerFactoryImpl" or "org.apache.xalan.xsltc.trax.TransformerFactoryImpl", but would not know which nor if there are any parameters that need be set.) That said, the <exec> of `xsltproc` solution is working.

 
I think if you use the standard XSLT task:

and point it at Xalan, that should do it.
