American are doing this too. I had to cancel my mid-February trip to Hamburg because of Jenny’s diagnosis, and it took a couple of weeks to line up the documentation they wanted for a refund. By the time I was ready to submit it, they just accepted my refund request without asking for any documentation!

My feeling is that we should make plans to hold the meeting with several of us connecting remotely rather than canceling or rescheduling. It well may be that we’ll be past the point of quarantines by then, but it’s not unlikely that there’ll be lower in-person attendance than usual.

Thanks for this news, Raff!

I'm keeping a close eye on things but am getting a bit worried. UMD announced yesterday that they are discouraging all non-essential travel (and have cancelled all Spring Break and Summer 2020 abroad programs). Travelers are asked to self-isolate for two weeks following international and personal travel, which I won't be able to do after our F2F due to my teaching responsibilities.

Looking forward to catching up with where everyone is at with this at our next Council meeting!
