Dear SIG members, I know it has yet again been quite some time since I last got in touch with you. This is mostly due to reasons on my side, mostly a profound lack of time, which is the reason I would like to post the question whether someone would be willing to join me as co-convenor with the arduous task of reminding me of my duties. With the meeting in Graz starting soon, I'd want to cordially invite you to the SIG meeting which is scheduled for Tuesday, 17th September, 14:00–15:30. On the agenda will be the search for a co-convenor, a short overview of projects dealing with newspapers and periodicals, an overview about personal experiences in such projects and drafting up an agenda for the next year. If you’d like to add an item to this agenda, please drop me an eMail. I'll be in Graz from Monday, starting with a workshop about Interface Design and User Involvement. Starting from the example of the Wien[n]erisches Diarium, this workshop wants to collect input on how editions of periodicals can be presented, about the tools users need and related aspects of interface design. The results will be used to further improve the app that is currently used for the Diarium and is freely available for others to use.¹ I’ll be happy to see you there and am looking forward to your input.
